The Game of Kings

Of course, I enjoy the place where chess and technology meet. So here are some links to chess programs, as well as some of my favorite chess places on the web:
HIARCS — My favorite program for Mac and PalmOS by Mark Uniacke
Shredder — An incredibly strong program and available for PC, Mac and Linux
Fritz — Almost the industry-standard for PC and PocketPC chess programs
ChessGenius — More great chess for PalmOS and PocketPC by Richard Lang
PocketGrandmaster — Strong PocketPC program by Frank Schneider with multiple engines
Lokasoft — Various strong programs for PC and PocketPC
USCF — United States Chess Federation - the main chess organization for the U. S.
FIDE — World Chess Federation (Fédération Internationale des Échecs)
Chess Cafe — A place for chess info, instruction, as well as books, sets and more
House of Staunton — My favorite place to find (and buy) superb chess sets
The Chess House — One-stop shopping for just about any and all chess books and equipment

For some who have known me for sometime, you know that I just love the game of chess. I played very regularly when I was in junior high and high school. But for the last 19+ years, I've only played somewhat sporadically. I have a small collection of selected chess sets, but I don't collect just any set. You will not find any novelty sets - no Scooby-Doo, Simpsons or Red Sox vs. Yankees.

If you're curious, you also check out my review of various PalmOS and PocketPC chess programs here.
