The “Classic” set is offered by the House of Staunton, and comes in a few different size/wood combinations. I chose a version that is a bit smaller than regulation tournament sets, with 3” (as opposed to 3.75”) tall Kings. But it is my favorite study/analysis set. Both the added weight of the rosewood and boxwood pieces and the detail in the Knights helps set this set apart from a more basic, less luxurious set.
