Bible Teaching on the Radio

Now Hear this

I know that lots of folks listen to the radio for good music, or for news and sports. But have you ever considered listening to radio for Bible teaching? For a few years, I listened fairly exlusively to a radio station affiliated with ACN - The American Christian Network. But I have switched most of my listening preferences to KKRS (97.3 FM). The station is owned by CSN [Calvary Satellite Network], and as far as teaching goes, features almost exclusively teaching by Calvary Chapel fellowship pastors. For those unfamiliar with the Calvary Chapel "tradition", that means that teachers typically will go through the Bible chapter-by-chapter, verse-by-verse, eventually covering the entire Bible. Pastors of most other churches tend to teach topically – selecting a topic like faith, grace, marriage, money or what have you, then pulling together a selection of Scripture references to support their point about the topic. I spent many years in a couple different churches where the topical method was used. But I've come to enjoy the verse-by-verse method better.

I listen when I can (or, at least, when I choose). Below you will find a list of some of the programs I enjoy the most. I have also added the Bible version from which each respective teacher tends to teach. Enjoy!
